康州柴米、紐約走跳

今天寫了封email跟朋友小抱怨社團裡面的事情, 當然沒錢的工作很難要求大家盡心盡力...尤其是每個人都有私人事情要解決

而且也不是說我自己覺得自己很付出就有資格要求別人或批判別人 (I only want to mind my business)

只是....有時候連開會都要三催四請, 開會時間還是幾個月前大家一起決定的...

真的有點無力ㄟ~~ 我們可是要來回開三個多小時的車才到的了開會地點, 你忙, 你的時間寶貴

我們就活該像白吃一樣殺來殺去ㄇ??

事前通知ㄧ下至少是基本的禮貌跟對人的尊重吧~~

總之...悶悶的我寫了封email如下

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for your prompt reply and being so thoughtful.

We really don’t mind to travel long distance or spend a lot of time, we knew what we would need to do when joined the board.

To be honest with you, it’s just bothers us recently that everyone seems losing their interest & responsibility. It’s not “one-man” association, we understand everyone is busy (on the other hand, we are too), so we tried to take care of events while no one seems to care (even when it’s not our assignment), because we know what people look is ATANY so we got to look good.

But I think it is basic and reasonable requirement to at least attend at the meeting, especially we had set the schedule for every 2nd Saturday at the beginning. Everyone in this board is great and talented, we just feel frustrated and disappointed that we have to keep calling, reminding and bothering other members, we want to be friends, not “PARENTS”.

I remember when Glant was being nominated as president, everyone was so worried that he will use ATANY’s mailing list or resources to help himself. But now actually we are using our own mailing list and resources to promote event, which is funny and ironic.

I really believe that, whatever we do, there is always someone watching us up there. However, I don’t believe I have the right to criticize other’s behavior just because I work hard. We just really worry that if things keep going this way, how can this organization maintain or grow?

Hope you don’t mind my blabber, I complaint to you just because I know you DO care.
